Here are some back to school activities to get children feeling positive about the future and encouraging them to talk about their feelings. There are 4 activities with a choice of writing frames. Suitable for KS1 and lower KS2.

A useful end of year assembly or / and class resource about Transition. This is a good discussion to find out about any anxieties your children may have about Transition, Moving On or Change such as moving to a new class / year group or school. The slides can be used with small groups or the whole class and focus on positive things as well as those that may be a little worrying for children. Here are 14 examples of front covers and 14 examples of insert pages that children could use when making their own autograph books. Something for all the class to make them individual. Pages can be printed onto card or pasted onto thin card. Make 1 or 2 holes using a hole punch and attach a coloured ribbon or string for decoration.
